If you're photographing children at play or making a portrait of them, the first thing to do is get down at their level.
Kneeling or sitting down gives you the best perspective of their face, which is the first thing someone is going to look at when they view your photograph.
Both images here were created while kneeling down. This is why I gave up
wearing nice khakis to shoots years ago! Throw on some jeans
that you don't mind getting dirty!
