Most of us see the world from that 5-6 ft height. So it's easy to make pictures from that level.
One of the best ways to give your images an iconic look is to take a look around for other shooting location options.
Whether you're on vacation, at a wedding or a sporting event, there's usually a different angle you can take advantage of somewhere.
Above is an example from a family trip to North Carolina. After lunch, my son invited my mother to a game of checkers.
The restaurant had a second level and provided a nice angle for this picture.
Here are a few more examples of getting up high and shooting down: one of two boys having their own race at a South Carolina dirt track and another from a wedding as a bride walks to the ceremony.
